To drive any Truck and trailer combination over 25,000Kg you require a Class 5 Heavy Vehicle Licence.
Prerequisite: You must hold your Class 5L (Learner Licence) before you’re able to sit this course. For information on gaining your licence – refer to the NZTA.
The Class 5 time reduction course is made up of 3 components which are compulsory.

Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time, and driver logbook requirements - Level 3, Credits 5. This Theory course takes approximately 7 hours.
Please Note:For Class 4 and 5 Licences, it is necessary to complete Unit Standard 24089. However, a shorter one-day course may be taken if this unit standard has been previously completed as part of an approved driver licensing course.
Proof of completion can be demonstrated either through a copy of the issued certificate or confirmation from the training provider with whom the course was completed.
Students completing this training will;
Demonstrate knowledge of driver licencing requirements for Class 5 full Licence. This theory course takes approximately 5 hours.
Operate a rigid vehicle to meet the requirements for a full Class 5 driver licence - Level 4, Credits 8. This theory course takes approximately 5 hours.
Students completing this training will;

You must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English to attend the course. If English is your second language, please contact us before booking to discuss available options.

The Class 2 Course is designed to provide comprehensive training and assessment for individuals looking to obtain a Full Class 2 Driver Licence.
Over two days, participants will cover Unit Standard 24089 – Fatigue Management, Work Time, and Driver Logbook Requirements, as well as, Unit Standard 17574 – Operate a Rigid Vehicle to meet the requirements for a full Class 2 Licence.
Following theory completion, participants will also undergo a practical assessment at a mutually agreed time. This course offers an efficient and effective pathway towards acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in Class 2 driving.

This course is designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a rigid vehicle in order to obtain a Full Class 4 Driver Licence. The course covers Unit Standard 17576 and includes one day of in-class theory. Participants will then undergo an in-vehicle practical assessment at a later mutually agreed time.
It is important to note that if evidence of previous completion of Unit Standard 24089 is not provided, participants must include the Logbook Course add-on at the time of booking. The logbook course runs the day prior and details will be sent seperately.
